The name Aküna was actually created by a young girl in Germany.
At two years of age, having an
Arabic speaking father and a German speaking mother, her language skills crossed
into both realms.
In doing so some of her creative talents emerged into new words
for everyday objects and actions.
Her word for playground was Aküna. Every time we wandered by a playground we heard – Aküna because it had snuck into the subconscious and became a name...
...a motto for the inception of this exciting and dynamic company.
Besides being just a name, Aküna Media Group also adopted the attitude of "fun", building a work place from "playing".
